Case study Janda

PrestaShop Janda

Upgrading the store engine from PrestaShop 1.6 to PrestaShop 1.7, data migration and refreshing the graphics, maintaining the unique and recognizable character of the brand, is a real challenge that requires proper preparation and cooperation of several teams. The simultaneous work of programmers and graphic designers was based on a well-planned and coordinated work process. As a result, we received a project that meets the requirements and assumptions of the Principal.

Refreshing the store's graphics, while maintaining its current character, requires experience and a good eye of each of the graphic designers working on the project. The cooperation required a few compromises, but as a result we obtained a modern store that fits in the industry and meets the requirements of the Ordering Party.

Data migration is not only about copying data, but most of all transferring important functionalities from the older version of the store to the newer one. Some solutions needed to be updated to a newer version, compatible with the latest version of PrestaShop 1.7, but others required an individual approach. The functionalities important for the client, which he did not want to give up, and which did not have the "update" option, forced the development team to rewrite or rewrite them almost from scratch.

As a result, we have obtained a well-functioning store, distinguished by a minimalist and modern graphic design.
