Wondering how to set a discount for a specific product in your PrestaShop store? Or maybe you want to lower the price for a specific customer? From this post you will learn how to give a discount on specific products.
To set a discount on a specific product, you need to use the PrestaShop specific price section. In the left-hand menu select Sell, Catalog and Products. From the list of products, choose the product for which you want to apply a discount and open it. In the top navigation menu, select Pricing. Click +Add a Specific Price button.
In the table you can select:
- the currency to which you will apply the discount
- the country where the discount will apply
- the group of customers to whom you will assign the discount
- a specific customer to whom you want to assign a discount
- dates of availability of the new lower price
- number of units to which the promotion will apply
- the effect of the discount on the price.
You can change the price by amount, e.g. 5 PLN discount, or by percentage, e.g. 10% cheaper. By checking the box leave initial price, the product card in the store will display the old price crossed out and the new price in effect. By unchecking the box, the store will display only the new price. The appearance of the product page depends on the template used and any changes made to it.
